How To Apply Bond & Seal DIY Lashes
Meet the Meraki Method.
A simple way to apply Bond & Seal DIY lashes with less mess, less slipping and more control. Prep your clusters first, wait for the perfect tack, then apply, seal and fuse.
Bond goes on the clusters.
With the Meraki Method, we apply our bond directly to the base of the lash clusters before placing them underneath the natural lashes.
We don't coat the natural lashes in bond.
Prepping your clusters first gives you control over exactly how much bond you're using and allows it to become perfectly tacky before the cluster reaches your eye.
Prep your lash clusters
Start by carefully removing the clusters you want to use from the lash tray and placing them onto your reusable Meraki sticky tile.
Pick each cluster up gently from the base so the lash fibres keep their shape.
Apply a small amount of Meraki Bond directly along the base of each cluster.
You only need bond where the cluster is going to connect with your natural lashes.
Bond the cluster, not your natural lashes. Prep your clusters first, then give the bond time to become tacky before application.
Let the bond get tacky.
This is where the magic happens. If you try to apply your clusters while the bond is still fresh and wet, they can slip and slide. As the bond sits, you'll see it become lighter and more translucent. That's exactly what you want.
Fresh
Darker, glossy and wet. At this stage the cluster is more likely to slip around.
5 Minutes
The bond is beginning to lighten, become more translucent and feel tackier.
10 Minutes
Lighter, tackier and ready to grab. The tackier it is, the easier your application can feel.
Watch the bond, not just the clock.
The exact tack time can change depending on how much bond you've applied and your environment. What matters most is what the bond looks and feels like. You want it lighter, more translucent and tacky rather than freshly wet.
Apply your clusters
Once your bond is beautifully tacky, you're ready to start applying.
Place each cluster underneath your natural lashes, around 1–2 mm away from your waterline.
As you work across the eye, slightly overlap each new cluster with the one before it. This helps everything blend together and gives you a seamless lash line.
Use both hands if you need to and gently tap or press each cluster into place.
You do not need to add any bond directly to your natural lashes. The bond you've already prepared on the clusters is all you need.
Your bond may still be too wet. Let it become tackier before trying again.
Applicator getting sticky?
If you get bond on your applicator while you're working, give it a quick clean with an alcohol wipe before continuing. A clean applicator helps stop your cluster sticking to your tool when you're trying to place it.
Seal + fuse
Once you've finished applying your clusters, add a small amount of Meraki Seal to the bonded area.
Then use clean fingers to gently squeeze the clusters and your natural lashes together.
We're not doing a hard tweezer clamp straight after application. When the bond is still fresh, your clusters can sometimes stick to the applicator and pull away as you release it.
Instead, gently press and squeeze everything together using your fingers.
You don't want your clusters simply sitting underneath your natural lashes. You want them beautifully connected and fused together.

Finished your lashes? Don't throw your sticky tile away.
Peel your sticky tile off and rinse it under cool water to remove any leftover residue.
Then simply leave it to air dry completely.
Once dry, it becomes sticky again and is ready to use for your next set.
Cool water. Air dry. Use it again.
Give them another good fuse.
After your lashes have had a few hours to settle, go back in with clean fingers and give them another really good squeeze.
Press the lash clusters and your natural lashes together so everything feels secure and beautifully fused.
The better your clusters are fused to your natural lashes, the better connected your finished set will feel.
Cluster + natural lash = one beautifully fused lash line.
They fluff up beautifully.
Your lashes can look a little more compact straight after application from the bond, seal and handling. Once they're ready to be washed, gently cleansing them helps the lash fibres fluff back out beautifully.
Don't be scared to wash them.
They'll fluff right back up.
