The Ultimate Lash Consultation Guide (Fast, Friendly & Retention-Focused)

In 5–10 minutes, set goals, check eye/skin health, map the perfect style, and lock in long-lasting results.

What we stock:
D (our specialty) C CC M L B

We mainly carry D curl for that lifted, glamorous look, with a curated range of C, CC, M, L and B curls to customise every eye shape and preference.

What is a lash consultation?

A short pre-service chat and assessment to confirm goals, review health history, examine natural lashes and eye shape, agree on styling (map, curl, length), and set aftercare. For returning clients, it’s a quick check-in to keep results consistent and safe.

5–10 Minute Consultation Flow

  1. Welcome & goals (1–2 mins)

Desired look (Natural / Classic / Wispy / Hybrid / Volume / Mega), where you’ll wear them (daily, work, events), comfort with length/fullness. Have inspo pics ready to calibrate “natural” vs “dramatic”.

  2. Health & history (1–2 mins)

Eye concerns in last 4 weeks, skin conditions on lids, allergies/sensitivities (adhesive/gel pads/tapes/latex), recent eye surgery, lifts/tints, growth serums, pregnancy/breastfeeding, past reactions.

Refer or postpone for active infections, severe irritation, recent ocular surgery, or unexplained redness/swelling. (Techs don’t diagnose; advise GP/optometrist when in doubt.)

  3. Eye shape, lash health & mapping (2–3 mins)

Assess eye shape & spacing, natural lash density/strength/direction. Choose curl(s) & lengths to flatter the eye.

  4. Expectations & aftercare (1–2 mins)

Feel: weightless; no poking/burning. Wear: infills every 2–3 weeks. Aftercare: cleanse daily, avoid oils, brush gently when dry, mind heat, sleep smart.

Patch tests are optional (not fully predictive) but helpful for very sensitive clients.

  5. Consent, photos & plan (1 min)

Confirm style map, curl/length range, book first infill, consent forms signed, photo/social consent as preferred.

Choosing Curls & Lengths (We Stock D, C, CC, M, L, B)

D curl is our hero for instant lift and a glamorous, open-eye effect. We mix in C/CC for soft natural lift, and use M & L to elongate or lift outer/central areas strategically. B offers a very soft, natural bend for select mappings.

  • Natural lash health first: we size to your lash strength for comfort and retention.
  • Classics: typically 0.12–0.15 (or flat 0.15 for lighter feel).
  • Volume: 0.07 (3D–6D), 0.05 (8D–14D), 0.03 (20D–30D) depending on the look.
  • Length rule of thumb: keep extensions ~2–3mm longer than your longest natural lash for everyday wear.

Quick Style Map by Eye Feature

Eye Feature Style Map (Try First) Curl & Length Tips (Using Our Curls)
Almond (balanced) Classic / Squirrel / Natural Wispy Mix C/CC with accents of D; 9–13mm gradient.
Round / Prominent Natural / Doll (moderate) C/CC for soft lift; keep outer lengths moderate; avoid over-lifting outers with strong D.
Hooded / Deep set Squirrel / Open Eye Use CC/D centrally for lift; keep very outer corners lighter. Try selective M for elegant lift.
Downturned Squirrel / soft Cat Eye Lift outers with CC/D; shorten very outer to avoid drag. M can finesse outer lift.
Close set Gentle Cat Eye Extend outer third slightly with D or M; avoid extreme length jump.
Wide set Open Eye / Doll Build centre with D or CC; keep outers softer.
Monolid Natural Wispy / Open Eye CC/D to create lift; airy fans for softness; L can elongate centre for a sleek line.
